Walking Dead billboard not best placed outside funeral parlour

A perfect example of how businesses need to carefully select where they place their marketing messages comes to us, thanks to the commercial TV station Channel 5.

To publicise their run of the US post-zombie apocalypse show The Walking Dead, Channel 5 has been running a billboard poster campaign across the UK. Unfortunately one of the posters was placed outside a Co-Op funeral parlour in Consett, County Durham.

Thankfully the poster was quickly removed, once it was realised that an advertisement for a TV show about the living dead probably shouldn’t be placed next to the resting place of the actually dead.
