Understanding the different motivations for virtual and in-person events

The Virtual Edge Institute (VEI) and ROI of Engagement have released their second report into the effectiveness of hybrid events (which combine virtual and real world events). The report focussed on the different motivations people have for choosing to make the journey to an event in person, or to experience it online.

Fuller details on the survey are available from the source link, however the key findings were:

  • Little difference between generations on preference for virtual v in-person attendance.
  • Virtual attendance promotes in-person appearance at future events.
  • Motivations differ for those visiting in-person to those taking part virtually.
